Glamping offers all the outdoorsy fun of camping with none of the less glamorous aspects of the activity. According to USA Today, glamping combines “the minimalistic nature of camping with modern amenities and creature comforts.”
USA Today’s 10Best is a reader’s choice awards program that highlights the country’s best in destinations, food and drink, hotels, and things to do. An expert panel selects the nominees and then readers vote to determine the ten winners.
USA Today recently published their 2024 list of the 10 best “chic glamping locations perfect for a wild and glamorous weekend.” Colorado’s Piney River Ranch took third place.
Located in Vail, “luxury meets spectacular outdoor beauty at Piney River Ranch,” according to USA Today. The destination features three lavish glamping tents and six lakefront cabins. The tents are equipped with rustic design flourishes and wood-burning stoves.
Piney River Ranch is set on the edge of Piney Lake and at the foot of the Gore Range, so in addition to glamping, it provides access to stunning views and plenty of activities like canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, and fishing.
Piney River Ranch opens for the summer season on June 21.
