This year’s festival also coincides with France’s landmark year of hosting the Summer Olympics for the third time.
Highlights from the festival line-up include Tartuffe: The Imposter, staged by Wild Rice, and Piaf! The Show, a musical tribute to French musical icon Edith Piaf. Alliance Française de Singapour will also pay tribute to Antoine de Saint Exupéry with the Saint Exupéry: A Legacy exhibition. HAMILTON The Musical

Making a stop in Singapore this year is the award-winning, ground-breaking musical HAMILTON. The Singapore debut will see a talented global cast performing catchy songs that blend hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway like the iconic ‘My Shot’.
They include Australian actor Jason Arrow (who will take up the same role he starred in for the Australia leg), New Zealander Akina Edmonds as Angelica Schuyler, American actor Darnell Abraham as George Washington, and Korean-American actor David Park, who will assume two roles as Marquis De Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson.
HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography and is the story of America about American founding father Alexander Hamilton. American songwriter, actor, filmmaker and playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the book and scored the musical’s music and lyrics.

Goddess: Brave. Bold. Beautiful. at ArtScience Museum

From ACMI, Australia’s National Museum of Screen Culture in Melbourne comes Goddess: Brave. Bold. Beautiful., an exhibition spotlighting screen legends who have challenged narratives, defied expectations, and broken boundaries across 120 years of cinematic history from the silent era to modern-day film and television.
Making its Asia premiere at the ArtScience Museum, this run will have a strong focus on Asian film stars from Hong Kong, Japan, India and even Singapore. Expect icons like Marilyn Monroe and groundbreaking equal rights activist Laverne Cox, to pioneering Chinese American Hollywood star Anna May Wong and Asian superstar Michelle Yeoh.
Attendees can marvel at a treasure trove of over 150 costumes, artefacts and objects, allowing them to picture the lives of these stars and discover lesser-known stories of how they challenged social norms and dismantled stereotypes.

Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema 2o24

Only at Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema can you soak up the sun and relax with the sea breeze while you catch award-winning films, at the same time. Back again this year, this annual event screens award-winning films via an open-air cinema on Tanjong Beach, Sentosa.

Expect a curated line-up of DJs to spin groovy hits from 3pm to 11pm while attendees revel in Spritz-themed games hosted by Aperol Brand Ambassadors where they may receive gifts such as sun hats, beach bags, towels, pins, glasses and more.

Contemporary Spanish and Catalan restaurant Esquina marked a significant achievement this year with its 12th year in business. To celebrate this anniversary milestone, Executive Chef Carlos Montobbio will collaborate with 12 esteemed chefs to serve a distinct 12-course menu every month in 2024. From Spanish and Italian to Indian, Japanese, and Korean cuisines, each 12-course menu will blend the distinct culinary style of Chef Carlos’ and his guest chef.
For April, Chef Rishi Naleendra of Kotuwa and FOOL will execute his instinctive flair for dissecting ingredients and techniques to the collaboration creations. Plastic: Remaking Our World

This exhibition will feature over 300 objects, posters, films and photographs from the Vitra Design Museum and its partners, including rarities from the dawn of the plastic age, objects of the pop era and contemporary designs and projects, with additional content on the use of plastic and sustainability in Singapore.
