Katok Secondary School marked its 10th anniversary with a glamping event at Seri Kenangan Beach recently.
Organised by Norhadzrena binti Johari, the event brought together 46 teachers, staff and families for a weekend of relaxation, bonding, and celebration.
The glamping setup featured 11 tents, a BBQ, a campfire and marshmallow roasting, creating a memorable outdoor experience for the participants.
For many, it was a first-time glamping experience where families enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere, with children playing freely by the shore. Teachers suggested adding a movie night to future events, hoping for an extended retreat next time. After a morning beach stroll and picnic breakfast, campers packed up to leave the site.
The event inspired plans for future glamping nights, possibly with invitations to other local glamping groups, expanding connections within Brunei’s outdoor community.
Principal Penroose Saleha binti Haji Mohd Salleh and Deputy Principals Hajah Siti binti Pungut and Suzanah binti Kurus were present.
