(SPOT.ph) Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte is every outdoor-lover’s haven. The coastal town boasts lesser-known white-sand beaches such as Saud Beach and Maira-ira Beach, interesting geological formations such as the Kapurpurawan Rocks, and Kaibigan Falls on the eastern side of the municipality. Adding to this rugged adventure is a new glamping site called the North Beach Camp with the Burgos Windmills as its backdrop. Owner Mon Manotok tells SPOT.ph that they’re hoping to be fully operational by May 1.

North Beach Camp is located in Barangay Caparispisan, a remote area in Pagudpud. “We don’t have any electricity and the road going to our camp is rough roads,” says Manotok. Right now, the whole place—which includes a beach house, five glamping huts, and a common bathroom—is only being powered by solar panels. But this just means that you can better experience the great outdoors with the beach right in front of you and a sky full of stars at night. It’s also near some of Pagudpud’s famous surf spots.

The whole facility can fit up to 10 people and renting out all the five huts from P20,000 to P25,000 is preferred. Renting individual huts is priced from P1,800 to P2,000; but if you take home your trash, you get P300 rebate. Neat, right? Catering options include Izakaya 104 Japanese Bar and Restaurant, Smoke Bar and Restaurant, Chef Luz Angela’s Kitchen, and La Preciosa.

For smaller groups, you have the option of booking the beach house (P12,000 per night), which has a massive bedroom with a great view of the sea through glass doors. Imagine waking up to a picture-perfect scene in the morning. Plus, the bathroom has a bathtub that has an overlooking view of the coast. Fees are inclusive of the use of standup paddle boards and snorkeling gears.
