A Sussex County campground has earned the top honor for glamping in North America, according to the 2026 Campspot Awards.
Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay in Millsboro was named the #1 Top Campground for Glamping by Campspot, a campground booking platform that evaluates parks across the United States and Canada. The annual awards assess campgrounds in categories including RV sites, glamping, family-friendly stays and unique outdoor accommodations.
The Delaware campground received the highest ranking in the glamping category following an evaluation that included guest ratings, reservation data, park features and other performance metrics. Campspot officials said more than 3.3 million data points were analyzed across eligible properties.
The designation places the Millsboro campground at the top of its category for 2026 among parks throughout the U.S. and Canada.

“Campgrounds are more than places to stay. They’re places where memories get made, traditions start, and community shows up,” said Jeff Bettin, General Manager of Marketplace at Campspot. “The Campspot Awards are our way of recognizing parks that consistently deliver standout guest experiences, backed by data, and celebrating the people who make those experiences happen.”
According to Campspot, the 2026 awards reflect growing interest in experiential travel, including glamping — a style of camping that combines outdoor settings with resort-style amenities and accommodations.
Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay was recognized in the glamping category, which highlights campgrounds offering upscale accommodations and amenities alongside outdoor experiences.
The 2026 Campspot Awards mark the fifth year of the program. A full list of winners across all categories is available on Campspot’s website.
