MOUNT STORM, W.Va. (WBOY) — A tiny cabin in Grant County is one of the best glamping spots in the country, according to a recent ranking.
The Dyrt, which is a database of campgrounds and rentals, released its top 10 glamping destinations for 2024, and The Oasis at Bear Run Farm in West Virginia was ranked third.
The Oasis is a small A-frame cabin with enough room for a bed and tiny living space. The private site is on a lake near Mount Storm and is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or small family weekend, including your pet.
Dyrt said that The Oasis is “meant to be a nature-immersive, off-the-grid experience,” so visitors will have to bring essentials like water and food, but there is propane heat, an outside and solar-powered lights.
It’s also a cost-efficient option at $175 per night. There are also tent camping sites at the campground ranging from $35-55 per night. Keep in mind that The Oasis is only open from May to October. It can be booked on the Dyrt or on Airbnb.
The other top glamping spots for 2024, according to the Dyrt, are a dome-style tent in Texas, a
“gypsy wagon” in Idaho, a shipping container in Nevada and a series of tiny houses in Oregon.
