The new luxury currency is all about indulging in legacy moments, says a report by Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
Affluent travellers seek rare, authentic experiences that create lasting memories, with over 61% of respondents indicating once-in-a-lifetime moments as their ultimate luxury experience.
The brand’s annual Live Like A Legend experience collection is all about achieving this state of mind. For 2025, six bespoke journeys will grant travellers unparalleled access to the world’s most inspiring and dream-worthy experiences.
“With these experiences, guests can immerse themselves in rare and transformative travel journeys created by some of the world’s most iconic properties – with the type of exclusive access that only our Legend Collection hotels can provide,” said Lindsey Ueberroth, CEO for Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
“These curated experiences are designed to stay with you long after you return home, inspiring lifelong memories.”
Core travel memories for life
Sir Richard Branson’s private retreat, The Branson Beach Estate, on the sunny and secluded beaches of 125-acre Moskito Island in the British Virgin Island will be open for a four-night stay. Up to 22 travellers can claim the entire estate, which includes all on-site activities from infinity pools to sea sports, private chef use to helicopter rides, starting at US$285,000.
Need an invite to fashion week? Armani Hotel Milano, designed by the Armani fashion house, will admit just two guests during 2026 Milan Fashion Week. The three-night stay in the presidential suite comes with front-row access to the synonymous fashion show, as well as a private fitting at the Armani atelier – where master tailors will craft two, made-to-order garments. Prices start at €100,000.
Four similar gold gilded experiences are available by properties, all under the Legend Collection, including The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston in Texas, U.S., The Brush Creek Luxury Ranch Collection at Saratoga, Wyoming, U.S., The Windsor Court at New Orleans, Louisiana U.S., and Andara Resort & Villas at Phuket, Thailand.
